Consider them your go-to headphones, wherever you go. The first in-ear noise cancelling headphones from Bose give you more control over how you listen than ever before, in all kinds of environments. Block the outside world with full-on noise reduction. Or, choose Aware mode and let some of it in—all while keeping your headphones on and your music alive with lifelike Bose® sound. Wherever your day takes you, QC®20 headphones keep you connected. To the beat of your music, and the pulse of what's around you.
QC®20 headphones let you experience music on the go as never before. You'll enjoy lifelike, digital sound quality that stands out from the noise around you—plus the freedom of an in-ear headphone. StayHear®+ tips physically block some noise while our Acoustic Noise Cancelling® technology electronically reduces most of what's left. It's just you and your music, even in noisy environments.
But there are moments when you may not want to be so cut off from your surroundings. Crossing a city street. Waiting for airline gate announcements. This is where Aware mode comes in. Instead of removing your headphones, just press a button, and you're back in touch with the sounds around you—while your music keeps playing, and you still experience some noise cancellation.
All this, plus Bose® lifelike sound. Sound you wouldn't expect from in-ear headphones. Our TriPort® technology and Active EQ combine to give your music a depth and balance that keep your daily soundtrack fresh and alive. The subtle details shine through, too. So wherever you are, your music's front and centre.
And your music's even easier to enjoy when you're not fussing with your headphones. Proprietary StayHear®+ tips create a soft, secure fit with no need to force them into your ears. The mushroom shape spreads contact evenly across the ear for maximum comfort, and forms a gentle seal that contributes to the headphones' full-spectrum noise reduction.
Controls are all at your fingertips. Use the slider switch on the control module to turn noise cancelling on and off. The inline remote/microphone houses Aware mode and call answer/end buttons. The 2-button remote (QC®20 model) is designed for your Android, BlackBerry or Windows phone. The 4-button remote (QC®20i model), customised for your iPhone or iPod, adds music control and voice commands.
The environmentally friendly built-in lithium-ion battery (located inside the module) charges in just two hours with the included USB cable, and delivers up to 16 hours playing time per charge. A battery indicator light displays power status. And, even if the battery dies your music still plays with performance equal to that of our regular in-ear headphones.
When not in use, simply store your headphones and cables in the included carrying case.
Can I use the headphones even if noise cancelling is off or if the battery is dead?
Yes, QC®20i headphones are still able to play audio if the battery power is depleted and the unit is powered off. You will not be able to use noise cancelling or Aware mode, however, and Active EQ is disabled. These technologies need power to operate.
What devices can I use with QC®20i headphones?
The following Apple products are compatible with QC®20i headphones: iPhone (3GS, 4, 4S, 5), iPad (1,2), iPod touch (2nd generation and later), iPod nano (4th generation and later), MacBook and MacBook Pro (models 2009 and later). The inline remote lets you adjust volume, play/pause tracks, skip forward/back on tracks, fast-forward or rewind and change playlists. On certain products you may also be able to answer/end phone calls, switch between calls, and decline a call. The microphone supports mobile communications and you can access voice applications like VoiceOver or Voice Control where available.
Can I use QC®20i headphones in the rain or snow?
It's not recommended. Bose® SIE2/SIE2i sport headphones, however, are moisture-proof, and designed to withstand the rigours of outdoor weather.
