QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds offer our most premium design and most advanced technologies for the best Bose listening experience in an earbud. With our QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, you will enjoy our most personalised listening experience with CustomTune technology, and our best earbud noise cancellation, audio quality and voice pickup. In addition, you’ll have access to our highest quality features, including customisable listening modes, Spotify Tap, SimpleSync (for use with compatible Bose soundbars/speakers), Snapdragon Sound and Google Fast Pair (for compatible Android devices).

Our QuietComfort Earbuds offer a great everyday listening experience with sound that is powerful, not precious and feature excellent noise cancellation. In addition, with our QuietComfort Earbuds you get customisable shortcuts and voice command via the Bose QCE app.

The Bose QCE app has been designed to work with our Bose QuietComfort Earbuds. With this app, you get the same standard features of the Bose app: EQ adjustment, adjustable ANC, Voice Assistant, Tap Control Customisation, Custom Product Naming, Update Notifications; plus, additional features including: Listening & Call Battery Prediction, Remote Selfie and Voice Command.

Smart calls refer to several features of the QuietComfort Earbuds:

  • Voice Commands: Answer/reject phone calls through voice control.
  • Side Tones: Hear yourself speak on calls or in-game chats with adjustable voice amplification. This can be turned on or off in the Smart Calls feature card of the Bose QCE app.
  • Activate Announce Calls: This allows you to hear the caller’s name whenever you get a call. Directions to enable this are in the Smart Calls feature card of the Bose QCE app.
  • Touch Controls: Touch Controls for calls can be customised in the Smart Calls feature card of the Bose QCE app.

When enabled, Voice ID allows you to calibrate your headphones to your own unique voice to improve the performance and accuracy of Voice Control. To set up Voice ID, select Start Calibration in the Voice Control feature card of the Bose QCE app. This will walk you through a quick process to set up Voice ID. After calibrating Voice ID, you can choose to enable or disable Voice ID in the Bose QCE app.

Single tap, double tap, triple tap, and press and hold are all configurable buttons in the Bose QCE app. This can be done through the Touch Controls feature card or within specific product setting feature cards.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds have voice control available in the Bose QCE app. The app needs to be opened but can be in the background to use the voice control. Voice control can be used to:

Play and pause music
Skip forward
Skip back
Increase and decrease volume
Change noise control setting
Change spatial audio setting
Take a photo
Access native voice assistant
Answer and end phone calls

Yes, you can use either the left or right bud independently for listening or for phone calls. Controls on your bud will remain the same as when you are using both buds and any shortcuts you have set will remain as you have set them. For optimal noise cancelling performance, both buds should be used together.

Yes. You can use a compatible third-party wireless charger (not provided) to charge the case.

When the earbuds are not in the case and the case is not plugged in, the LED colour indicates the charging case battery status:

Solid green (5 seconds): high charge (81–100%)
Solid amber (5 seconds): medium charge (30–80%)
Solid red (5 seconds): low charge (1–29%)

When the earbuds are in the case but the case is not plugged in, the LED colour indicates the earbuds’ battery status:

Solid green (5 seconds): fully charged
Slowly pulses amber (5 seconds): charging

Yes. Bose QuietComfort Earbuds have an adaptive microphone system that allows you to use them during calls when connected to any smartphone. In addition to traditional calls, the earbuds work with many apps that use Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), such as Teams, Zoom, or FaceTime. The microphone system adapts to your environment to isolate your voice from competing background noises and wind. In addition, self-voice (adjustable in the Bose QCE app settings) allows you to hear yourself naturally, as if you weren’t wearing earbuds at all, so you can monitor the volume of your voice and minimise the effects of speaking while wearing earbuds.

The eartips on the QuietComfort Earbuds and QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are interchangeable but the stability bands are not due to differences in the mechanical design.

You can use your QuietComfort Earbuds to take a selfie once configured via the Bose QCE app. In the Remote Selfie feature card in the Bose QCE app, you can choose to take a photo while wearing your earbuds through voice control and/or by updating one of the gestures. If using voice commands, open your camera app and say “Hey Headphones, Take Photo” and your phone will snap a photo. If using a customised touch control, do this gesture while the camera app is open to take the photo.

Instructions can also be found in the Bose QCE app when you select the Remote Selfie feature card.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds can be connected to a Bose soundbar or speaker as a SimpleSync device; however, they have not been fully optimised for a seamless audio and video Bluetooth connection.

No

Google Fast Pair is a feature that lets you bypass your Bluetooth settings so you can easily and quickly pair your device with your earbuds. It detects your device when it’s nearby and automatically prompts you to pair your earbuds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase. Excellent product, second pair and great value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Featuree I bought this product a month ago and must say it is far better then the apple EarPods. They are more comfort, fit well and give great sound with a noise reduction system which cuts out background noise, Would definitely recommend these as a great buy for listening to music films social media and podcast

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There’s a reason they are called Quit Comfort I initially bought some Sony ear buds. Admittedly they were cheaper (£80) but weren’t the most comfortable. I bought Bose Quiet Comfort ear buds. They are great. In the title are the words Quiet and Comfort. They are my top 2 requirements. I can wear these all day. Part of the design involves a soft ‘cuff’ as well as the ear bud but the result is ten times better than the Sony version. The sound quality is what you would expect from Bose and the noise cancelling is better than my now five year old Apple earbuds Pros. I have used these Bose earbuds for a while now and can tell you the one negative thing about them. The default control (which you can change with the app) is one tap to start and stop music. Double tap to play the next song. Sometimes the earbuds don’t differentiate between these two functions as well as they could and they take a couple of goes to get what you want. It is possible I might not be doing the perfect taps but hey, when the comfort and noise cancelling are as good as they are, I’m happy to be a little more patient regarding this minor indiscretion. The benefits far outweigh the negative. I love them and so even though they are marginally imperfect I stand by my perfect score.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Noise Cancelling I am a long time wearer of over ear noise cancellation headphones and always thought the noise cancelling of ear buds would never match. I was wrong. These ear buds have amazing noise cancelling abilities, just as good as the over head ones. The feature to go from quiet, aware to noise cancelling off was also very good and easy to use. The sound quality, again, was faultless. The sound quality of phone calls when outside/ in noisy environments is very good. Had no issues with any calls I made. The ability to customise the ‘touches’ to specific actions you want in the Bose App was also very good and a great idea. The accompanying app itself is good - easy to use and great way to configure your buds. I can also say they are very durable - I managed to drop the case several times (on wood and vinyl floors) and the case never split open, broke or had a scratch on it. The earbuds are the same- I feel confident that if one accidentally fell- they wouldn’t break. Comfort- their size to me is no issue, they are on the bulkier side. The sizing/ variety of their changeable buds could use improvement. I think offering smaller sizes would be beneficial. I use the smallest size on offer and could do with an even smaller size for the best fit. Despite this, they are not uncomfortable. The battery life is exceptional! Barely needed charging compared to my other devices. I would definitely recommend these to friends and family, and would definitely purchase these again in future. They are expensive, but for the noise cancellation quality- they are worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny!! I have been delaying to review this product for around 3 weeks, just so I can maximise my time with these earbuds and put it through it's paces. I will start of with cons, this is really hard for me to do as I am a massive BOSE fan. There are 2 things I felt could of been better. 1. Comfort. These earbuds never truly settled in my ears, I 0tried the various diffrent adjustments provided but in the end, it always felt like they were about to pop out. 2. Appearance, I just didnt like the look of these earbuds. They felt to big and looked to big. I would of preffered If they were a little smaller. It felt as if someone had pushed golf balls into my ears. Thank god thats over, here comes the PRO's! 1.Sound Quality, I also have the QUIET COMFORT ULTRA EARBUDS, I genuinley thought they were untouchable, these are just as good, or dare I say it...better. when listening to music or watching a movie, i always felt the bass was right when it needed to be, the clear crip voice sound..everything was on point in terms of sound quality. CAN NOT FAULT THEM. 2. These earphones feel solid and are so easy to use. So easy to use the app and in terms of connection. Honestly, I have never used any earbuds/earphones that connect as quick as these do. Overall, an excellent piece of equipment, for me it will be a SOLID 8/10. If I didnt have the Quiet Comfort Ultras, these would be my daily go to's

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ear buds I started using these earbuds about a week ago and they are great. The sound quality is excellent and they fit neatly in my ears and don't fall out when I am walking. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for some new ear buds

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Potentially the best earbuds yet..! I have been using the new Bose Quietcomfort earbuds for the past month - during busy commutes on the train and tube, in and out of London, and when relaxing at home. Regardless of the activity or environment, I could not stop being amazed by the amazing sound quality and comfortable fit of the buds. As I normally struggle to retain sound buds in my ears - most makes just drop out at the least amount of activity - I was not very hopeful at the first use of the Bose buds, but despite sometimes running for a train, or jumping a step or two on a staircase, these buds remained seated, with a good seal, while feeling so comfortable that, at times , I almost forgot I had them in my ears. And the richness of the sound just blew me away - from the deepest of basses that you could almost feel, to the clearest of high notes - true high fidelity as though one was at a live music event. To my mind, the sound is even better than that of high- end, over -ear headphones, and since having started to use the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds, I have not once taken my over-ear headphones out of their carry case. The noise cancellation is also the best that I have yet encountered: with noise cancellation on, one cannot even hear someone next to you talking, but it also has a setting for 'aware', which amplifies background sounds, and ,of course, 'off'. All the controls can be managed by tapping the earbuds with the finger, using voice controls as well as via an enhanced app. The app allows the user to customise all the features (including an equaliser setting) ,creating a true personalised control system for the earbuds. The controls for the earbuds are the most extensive that I have yet encountered, including even a facility to take a selfie with a fingertip against one of the buds, bud are very intuitive and easy to master. I am someone that loves my music, from hard rock to classical and jazz, and do appreciate high quality sound. Having found earbuds that can deliver this in spades and can remain comfortably in your ears while on and off trains and switching between calls and music with the tap of a finger or a simple vocal command, has been a very positive experience. This new offering from Bose has certainly exceeded my expectations and I cannot recommend the new Bose QuietComfort Earbuds highly enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10 out of 10 - Incredible Headphones I have had these headphones for weeks now and really put them through there paces including rigorous workouts, noisy train journeys, on the move music production - I’ve asked a lot of these headphones and they have not disappointed! I would highly recommend these to anybody and I believe they are better for the price than some other fruity headphones on the market! As I’ve come to expect from Bose, the sound quality is top notch. The bass packs a punch, especially for such small earbuds. The mids’ and trebles are spot on, enhanced even further with the ability to customise the sound in the app. I’m a big fan of house music, and I’m pleased to say these headphones deliver everything I need! Once I worked out the best band/tip combination for my ear shape, they haven’t fallen out once in the month I’ve owned them, and I’ve really put them through their paces! Calisthenics, headstands, skipping, nodding off reading a book - they do not budge! I’ve had them in for hours on end with no discomfort and zero ear fatigue. A perfect fit, which I’m sure can be replicated for anyone given the choice of ear-tips that come in the box. Noise-cancellation is just as important as sound quality to me nowadays, and these little earbuds outperformed my more expensive headphones hands down! The different modes lend themselves excellently to different scenarios, enabling me to completely block out or be mildly aware of my surroundings. For me, the customisation is a real stand out feature of these headphones. The app is easy to navigate and allows me to really pinpoint my sound preferences, whether that be for different genres of music, podcasts or watching films on long journeys. The sound quality has been exceptional, including phone calls in very noisy environments. Bose haven’t overstated the battery life. True to their word I’ve only had to charge them a few times a week with regular usage. My only slight gripe is with the case; it would benefit from some sort of rubberised coating to give it a bit more grip and less likely to slip out of my hand, but that’s me really nitpicking! Overall, I’m very impressed and would highly recommend to anyone looking for comfortable headphones that sound great and stay put!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really impressive Really impressed with these earphones, fit is nice and snug and stays put in the gym! Great sound quality and love the wireless charging feature and longer battery life, especially for travel. Sleek design which sits nice and flush in the ear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These headphones are incredible! I feel the need to write about these incredible headphone and I bought these a few days ago and it is safe to say I have been blown away with the quality. I am very impressed by the noise cancellation as I must say my house can be very noisy at times and these headphones have been escape and the noise cancellation is incredible! The fact you can change the settings to thourough noise cancellation and being ‘aware’ of your surrounding just by the touch of a bud is just simply mind blowing to me. The sound quality is perfect and adjustable just by the tap of a bud. They are incredibly useful and transportable as the battery lasts longer than any headphones I’ve had before and they are adjustable to any size ear so you can have the perfect comfort for maximum listening quality. Overall, I love these headphones and I completely recommend them for anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing- room for minor improvements only. I use my earbuds for the gym, running working out etc. I do not use them for leisure as a person with ears that struggles to maintain any earbud in for a long time. I prefer headphones for long periods. So the noise cancellation is great- actually better than my higher end bose which I have to say surprised me greatly. My gym plays quite loud music which is not to my taste- these buds more or less completely block this out which is great as the gym speakers are right above the equipment. Running - again really fit for purpose. They fit snug in my ear and do not move. They do not work there way out like I’ve had with some buds previously when I’ve become warm and ears slightly swell with heat. I used these without the app initially and it was abit of a chore. Now the app is available they are a breeze. So many options again compared with ultras etc , there are new features which I’ve never seen before. I love that bose is always forward thinking and listening to customers needs and wants. If you are wanting to purchase quality earbuds at a great price from bose, these I can assure you would be perfect. The sound quality is perfect (I’m EXTREMELY fussy about sound quality) just the right about I’d bass etc with great clarity which I think Bose is one of the few companies to get right. If sound quality is what you are after then look no further. Couple of points. Firstly I would love to able to locate these buds using my phone like a find my buds feature. Secondly I find the case to be very slippy and it feels quite flimsy compared to my other Bose cases. I fear that if I dropped this case especially with the lid open, it would be prone to damage. Thirdly the connection can be quite hit and miss. My left ear bud for some reasons struggles to connected straight out the case. After some on and off, back in case back out etc it finally syncs back in. Not great when you just want to put them in and head out. I’m sure with software updates as these are relatively new at this point, this will be weeding out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new, favourite noise-cancelling ear-ware! I’m an autistic-ADHD audiophile, hypersensitive to noise, so, effective noise-cancellation is vital for me! I’m, therefore, thrilled to share my review of these awesome new Bose QuietComfort Earbuds! Sound Quality Earbuds perform superbly in terms of overall audio quality! Nice balanced sound, good bass/treble. EQ settings in companion app to tweak sound to taste (5 pre-sets & customisable one with 5 sliders. Sound quality matches my QuietComfort Earbuds II & Bose 700 headphones. Clarity & detail on podcasts, music & phone calls good. Each word & instrument clear from sound stage. I’m very particular about sound & report no hums/buzzes, listening on low volume (or with audio input off), & noise-cancelling on. Earbud mics picked up my voice clearly on phone-call, filtering out kitchen noises, but struggled with Alexa alarm. Comfort As well as looking stylish, Earbuds are extremely comfortable to wear & water-resistant! 3 different sizes of soft silicone eartips & stability bands. Selecting appropriate combo to form seal with ear - aids noise-cancelling tech to block unwanted sounds & stops audio leaking out too. Default pre-fitted eartips/stability bands worked well for me! Have to rotate Earbuds slightly, to "lock" in place on ears; neither has fallen out after hours of use! Earbuds are 2g heavier than my current Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II, chunkier & rounder, & protrude slightly more – but just as comfortable! Silicone eartip exerts little pressure on my ear canal. Feels similar to resting finger tip on ear opening! Earbuds reasonably comfortable to sleep in; I sleep on side, & weight of head, pressing Earbud against pillow, doesn't cause it to dig in to me. Noise-Cancellation Impressive noise-cancellation! Noise-cancelling on a par with Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II, & slightly better than Bose 700 headphones & Bose QuietComfort® Earbuds (Confusingly named Bose QuietComfort Earbuds too!) Earbuds’ noise-cancellation blocks repetitive, low frequencies particularly well, e.g. dehumidifiers, dishwashers, washing machines, base-y music, stormy weather. It doesn’t cope as well with higher-pitched, less repetitive sounds, e.g., speech/TV, which are muffled, but not cancelled completely. Earbuds have 3 noise-cancellation modes: Quiet Mode - Full Noise-Cancellation Aware Mode - Hear Surroundings & Audio Off – Noise-Cancellation Off (Saves Battery) Quiet mode is extremely effective, it almost entirely cancels my wife’s CPAP machine noise, meaning I can sleep well! Also, I had to switch from Quiet to Aware mode to know if “silent” dishwasher was on or off; it was on! Aware mode gives exceptional transparency with no distortion of sound. Earbud sensors register if one/both earbuds are being worn. If Earbud removed, sensor will detect & pause audio. A slight issue - my phone alarm didn’t sound in Earbuds, although audio did pause; & noise-cancelling is so good I only realised phone alarm was ringing on checking why music had stopped! Bluetooth Strong Bluetooth signal, easy switching between different devices! Linking Earbuds to my Android phone was simple; with Earbuds in ears, using phone's Bluetooth settings to pair a new device, took 30 seconds. Linking Earbuds to Amazon Firestick, by selecting “Bose QuietComfort Earbuds” from an “Add Bluetooth Devices” sub-sub-menu in Settings, worked seamlessly. Earbuds’ audio synchs perfectly with Firestick video! Once setup, it takes seconds to re-connect Earbuds to phone or Firestick. 5 most recent devices are stored in Earbuds’ device list. List can’t be viewed, only deleted. Earbuds offer convenient multi-point connection feature. This allows 2 active devices to be simultaneously connected by Bluetooth to Earbuds (though only 1 device can play at a time); &, if you stop playing audio on one device, you can immediately play other device's audio in your Earbuds, without pain of re-pairing devices each time. Earbuds use Bluetooth 5.3. Range is excellent - I can leave phone in kitchen & wander apartment with no dropouts/stuttering! Sadly, my microwave oven, when on, interferes with Earbuds' Bluetooth signal, causing audio to break up. Battery Life & Charging Case Solid battery life, speedy Earbuds charging from charging case, additional charge stored in charging case Long battery life is vital for wireless Earbuds, especially if using for sleep. Happily, Earbuds last up to 8½ hours playback on a full charge (My Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II last only 6 hours!). Earbuds’ hard plastic, charging case provides extra battery life, up to 2½ full charges (21+ hours). Case is slightly fiddly to open; front has a tiny LED status light; & small groove, indicating lid opening; rear has USB-C port. The chunky, bean-shape (flat bottom, outwardly sloping sides & curved top) fits awkwardly in hand, & this, plus smooth texture, means I’ve dropped case a few times & scuffed it already! Case is small enough to fit in pocket or bag, but lacks fastening mechanism & can fly open on impact. Magnets orientate & snap Earbuds into correct left/right case charging-slot, with a reassuring click. Earbuds require slight “wrestling” to remove from case. Case status light colour (green, amber or red), & whether it’s solid/pulsing, indicates remaining case charge, or Earbuds charge, depending on whether or not Earbuds are in case, & whether case is powered (via USB-C cable or wireless charging). Status lights are unintuitive, but, usually, green is good! My Earbud batteries haven’t yet fully depleted, & putting them in case, after use, recharges them quickly. Earbuds support fast charging. When batteries drained, 20 minutes charging provides up to 3 hours of power to Earbuds. Up to 1½ hours in case fully recharges Earbuds. 2 hours connected to power fully recharges case, which can charge whilst Earbuds inside are charging! Removing Earbuds from case & positioning correctly in ear, triggers a remaining battery life voice prompt, e.g.: "BATTERY 100%!" Controls & Features Jam-packed with lots of controls & exciting functionality! Earbuds/case have no physical buttons, but various patterns of single/double/triple taps & holds, on touch-sensitive areas on each Earbuds’ rear, allow control of functions, such as noise-cancelling mode, volume, play/pause, & skip. Touch-sensitive areas are highly sensitive - brushing against them can set off unintended actions. Sadly, sensitivity level can't be changed. Touch control combinations are a little tricky to master. Trying to increase volume, I've inadvertently skipped tracks, or changed noise-cancelling mode! Control options can be customised in brand-new Bose QCE app, with a choice of actions, or non-action (Earbuds don’t work with earlier Bose apps). App displays percentage of battery life left for each Earbud, & predicts remaining play/phone time. Earbuds can be used without QCE App, but using App vastly improves experience. Opening App for first time, an Earbuds firmware update message appeared. Easy to follow instructions meant I managed to update firmware quickly without issue. As well as touch controls, you can use phone directly to change things like volume, skip tracks; also can change various Earbuds settings via App. Enabling Voice Control in App (App needs to run in background, along with phone being paired with Earbuds), is another way of controlling Earbuds’ functions. Voice control fairly intuitive, but commands have to be worded precisely. "Hey headphones. [Earbuds Tone] Volume Up." increases volume, but: "Hey headphones. [Earbuds Tone] Increase Volume." does nothing, as it’s unrecognised! Saying: "Hey headphones. [Earbuds Tone] Assistant" & then e.g.: "News Headlines", or "Weather", opens up phone's Assistant (e.g. Google Assistant) & completes requested action. Taking photos “remotely”, using “Hey Headphones” voice command: "Take Photo.", is a cool feature! Sadly, my voice control is temperamental, working for a few minutes before stopping. Going into App Voice Control setting, to toggle off/on, gets it working again, but only for a few minutes. Trying to fix this issue permanently, by stopping "Bose QCE" App from "sleeping", by selecting "Always Allow" option in "Optimise battery usage", in Android phone settings, sadly, didn’t work. Hopefully, Bose will be able to identify a fix soon. I find voice prompts, such as: “BATTERY 100%!!”, “QUI-ETT!!”, “Ah-WARE!!” quite loud & intrusive. Initially, they made me “jump”! Prompt volume can’t be changed. Generally, Earbuds are easy to use, although it’s frustrating when touch controls do their own “thing”, or voice control stops responding! Bose don’t include a physical manual with Earbuds, but there’s a link in App (& also on product page) to 59 page manual (pdf format), which is worth skimming through, as Bose have packed many brilliant features into these Earbuds, & other goodies, like Bose Immersive Audio, are promised soon! My Verdict I'm loving these Earbuds! Delivering high-quality noise-cancellation & sound experiences, they live up to both parts of their name – Quiet & Comfort! Longer battery life, voice control, multipoint connection & wireless charging are welcome improvements over my current Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II. Significantly cheaper than QuietComfort Earbuds II’s replacement (QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds), QuietComfort Earbuds exceeded my expectations, despite technical issues with the voice control feature, which Bose will hopefully fix soon. These are now my go-to noise-cancelling ear-ware! I heartily recommend them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected The Bose QCE set a new standard with their exceptional noise-canceling ability, effortlessly blocking out even the most persistent background noise. The long battery life means you can enjoy uninterrupted playback throughout your day without constantly needing a charge. Designed for comfort, they fit securely and don’t budge, even during intense activity. What’s more, their significantly smaller size compared to the predecessor makes them lightweight and discreet without sacrificing sound quality. With this perfect balance of comfort, performance, and convenience, these earbuds are a top choice for any audio enthusiast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Fantastic Earbud I have had the QuietComfort earbuds for week. As expected from Bose, the sound quality is excellent and can be personalised using the EQ function in the dedicated BoseQCE app. I have enjoyed listening to a range of music and hearing elements that are not distinguishable using other earbuds. The noise cancelling lives up to Bose’s reputation and is excellent, blocking out all background and distracting noise in the office. With the ability to sync to multiple devices I have been able to seamlessly switch from listening to music on my phone to joining Teams calls on my laptop. The earbuds fitted perfectly out of the box, with a snug, comfortable and secure fit that remained in place whilst running or working out in the gym. No worries they will fall out. The introduction of Voice Control - a feature not available on my QuietComfort Ultra earbuds - I found a useful feature whilst running. The only slight downside I have found is occasionally one of the buds does not connect with my iPhone, requiring replacing the buds into the case and refitting into the ear. Oh - and another Bose App. Whilst the QCE app works brilliantly, I now have 4 Bose apps I am a big fan of Bose and this is another product that I definately recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic earbuds, a huge leap forward from Gen 1! These new Bose QuietComfort Earbuds have the best noise cancelling I’ve heard and are the most comfortable I’ve owned. In comparison to the Gen 1 version they’re smaller, lighter and more comfortable in ear for extended wear, which is an improvement I didn’t know I wanted. Out of the box they are customisable in app with different touch control settings (I like the standard settings and reverted to these as they are already well balanced) and with different ear shape adjustment bands and tips, you can really tune into what you like to listen to in comfort. There’s also a new way of changing volume etc which I find more reliable than the first gen edition (no longer a swipe but left earbud tap twice and hold for volume down, right earbud for volume up). I set them up once and left as is without issue. I’ve used mine on a plane and train, and taken them for a few runs so far and have no complaints about the earbuds themselves. My only gripe is with the cases exterior material (the plastic feels lesser quality than the rest of the product, and feels slightly scratchy but solid) but it’s nice to have a magnetic snap close rather than the push latch of the originals on the case. The earbuds and case are overall much smaller than the first series and have a longer battery life between charges. These earbuds are phenomenal and I’m glad to replace my much loved QCE 1st gens; the size, improved noise cancellation and in ear comfort far exceed the concession of the case, and the cases smaller size is itself a bigger benefit. See photos for comparisons. I always loved Bose noise cancelling and the audio quality I’ve found to be better than other brands, and these are no exception, I’d highly recommend these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another Bose Masterpiece! Another well thought out product from Bose, easy to pair and use, with a great app to customise and maximise the listening experience. The battery life and longevity of the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds is great. I used them on a long-haul flight for about 3/4 hours straight, at a quality volume level and they were very comfort throughout. Would highly recommend, replaced my airpods!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small yet mighty! I have been using these for almost 4 weeks now and I am very impressed by these. They are cheaper than the BOSE QUIETCOMFORT ULTRA EARBUDS yet, the sound quality is on parr in my opinion. The case material could be improved to have more grip along with a softer closing mechanism but that’s my preference. I used these on a 3 hour flight recently, in my woodworking shop, on long walks in the countryside and on shopping trips in town; the sound quality is truly what is expected from Bose. The app certainly delivers and the fact that I can customise the functions/ taps makes it more personal and practical. If this suits your budget, I would strongly recommend these earbuds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great connectivity & feature-rich app! I use my buds mostly for work - listening to music and dialling up the ANC allows me to get in the zone and focus. I also travel quite often and these are GREAT on flights. The connectivity bugs from previous products appear to be eradicated (I also have the QC Earbuds 1st gen and QC Earbuds II). As soon as I take these out of the case, they are paired to my devices - I love this and the multi-point connectivity! This used to be such a painful experience of having to manually pair each time (but I felt the sound and the ANC were worth the trouble). The ANC on these buds are great too, effectively eliminates the background without any strange whistles or static. The mic is also clearer when used on calls, although this does seem to degrade quite sharply if I step away from my phone. They do look a little bulky in the ear but they are very light and easy to wear without fatigue. The case asthetics looks and feels less premium - It scratches easily and feels fragile. However it does provide alot of power and I appreciate the wireless charging. Feature-rich app gives much more flexibility. Finally, this app actually feels useful, giving me much more flexibility than previous iterations (although it would be great to use just one Bose app for all my Bose products).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pro: Smaller Case easier to carry around I have the Bose QC Ultra Earbuds, and straight away I loved the size of the case for these. From the photo attached there doesn't seem to be a big difference but there definitely is a difference, and these earbuds make it so much easier to carry around. Also the hinge for the case doesn't seem to be as 'vulnerable' as the previous case. I don't feel that I need to add a case protector just in case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Health Kick Essential Partner. Hello Everyone, Thanks for checking out my review of the Bose QC in ear headphones! ‘Fitting’ as the title is, I’m currently writing this while at the gym after spending a few weeks with these headphones. In addition to the gym, worth me pointing out what I mainly use the headphones for (and I don’t mean music!), I mean, for the gym, for the city, for the office. So comfort is important to me, but so is image and the general look too. So what do I like about them. Firstly, they are extremely comfortable, the name is therefore apt! After having them in for hours and hours a day, they require minimal adjustment, and in the box you get multiple fitment pieces to get that perfect fit for you. The look and appeal of them are sleek and subtle. A slight down side is sometime people can’t see them in and start taking to me. I don’t mention this to highlight me being an extrovert, rather that the ‘aware’ / ‘quiet’ modes come in handy. The carry case, that also acts as a portable battery charger (so you can store charge in the case to top the headphones up), its small and will happily slide into pockets. I guess on to the important bit, how to they sound. Well, let me tell you a story first. My late father (he died at 56, back in 2015), was surrendered mainly to the house towards the end of his life. So then TV and general audio experience became more and more important. To make that has good as possible, I bought him out first Bose product, a soundbar. I could literally see how this changed his ‘relationship’ with his ‘new life’ in front of the TV. This doesn’t influence my review, I’ve had AirPods, Beats and various other brand headphones - but I tell you this for this for how I value the brand. So how does it sound, brilliant. Crisp and clear - in the majority of environments. Spoiler alert. I really like the headphones. What do I think could be improved, there is a few things. I think the packaging could be improved. You could argue, the packaging is a means to and end. I get it. That said, for many, this is an expensive purchase - so how you receive the box means a lot. I think it could be improved, or we accept it for what it is. The small charger carry case which I said was good above, is. However, I think it feels like cheap plastic. Again, not massive deal, but a more grippy material, that could be customised on Bose website, would really add value to what you carry with you daily. Finally, two things I think could change the game. Firstly, they are small headphones, so easily lost. It would be brilliant to see a ‘find my headphone’ option on the brilliant Bose App. Knowing lots of people who have lost them, this would be a game changing addition. Lastly, I mention the ‘right environment’ above, that’s because in very windy conditions, there is wind noise in the headphones. I had the same with my QC45 over ear headphones, which ‘forced me’ (what I told the wife) to upgrade to Bose Ultra over ear. Does it make them unbearable / unusable, no… could it be improved, I think so. Overall, Bose as a brand has changed my life. They have allowed me to see my father happy, they enhance my audio experience, and have become a gym partner taking me through the hard slogs. I think the headphones as brilliant, and offer clarity to music and podcasts, in such a small and mobile package. Good luck with your search for your perfect companion, but do consider the Bose QC in ear to spend your time with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Received the earbuds as part of a Bose internal preview- was surprised that a small form factor could produce incredible sound! Here are the things that I liked and the things that could be further improved. Things I liked: Packaging: The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds - out of the box comes with 3 sizes of ear tips and 3 sizes of ear fit- allowing users to adapt to the sizes that fit them the most. I received black earbuds, with a black charging case. A USB A to USB C for quick charging. Bose claims over 31 hours of listening with a fully charged case. Could easily get 29 hours! Fit and finish The earbud construction is solid and feels nice in hand. At the same time, it feels exceptionally light when placed in the ear. Absolutely no ear fatigue! I could easily find my ear tips size and ear fit ring and they fit incredible even during my run! Absolutely no movement and does not come lose with vibration. Sound Quality- Music Typical Bose! incredible, full sound- low, mid, and high notes were clear. In addition, the app has further options to adjust Treble and Bass along with a custom sound. I have Apple Air Pods and compared the output for same song by alternating between the two- and I found no difference at all. The only thing that was missing was the Spatial Audio in my Bose. Although I was informed that Bose will update the QCE app with its own Surround sound update. Waiting for this to be pushed to the app as soon as possible for me to compare like-for-like. The ANC is brilliant and virtually stops all external noises getting into the earpiece. With ANC switched off or in Aware mode, I can clearly hear external sound. Things that could be further improved: ANC- The ANC works excellently when a song is being played- but during the gap between two songs, the ANC seems to stop, and I can hear external sounds. A software update needs to be pushed to ensure ANC is consistent. Wind noise- During my run/walk outdoors, the wind noise was seeping into the earpiece (like white noise) and impacts listening to music and during a phone call, as the person on the other side can hear the wind noise resulting in a lower voice quality. I would like the ANC to cancel the external wind noise. A software update should resolve this issue Phone call- The voice from the other side seems a bit heavy at times when listening to a phone call- like a song switched to a high bass mode. Less natural, in my opinion. Again, a software fix can resolve this issue. Conversation mode- Would like the buds to have a dedicated conversation mode- as this is standard at this price point. This is definitely a must have- as I see a lot of people extensively using them over longer periods of time during the day and taking them off each time, to listen to someone, is not practical at all. Case build quality- The case feels plasticky/ cheap. I expect a better build quality overall. Ease of Use- Simple to use, but with so many functions and settings that one can do for the buds, there is a learning curve for a new user. Some of the settings could be simpler. Overall, an excellent product, solid construction, incredible sound quality and would highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great entry level to Bose I’ve been using these for just over the last week. During that time I feel they’ve been given a very fair trial. I’ve used them on a long train journey, a recent inpatient day case at the hospital and mainly whilst working from home. I’ve owned quite a few pairs of Bose headphones over the years, from over ear, on ear and buds. I prefer to pay extra for decent sound so I can enjoy the experience of listening to music.. not just enjoy the music. To start with, I believe these are a great entry level pair of Bose earbuds. They give good sound, easy pairing, great battery and very good noise cancellation. The style of case is a different shape to my other Bose earbuds and although not a bad design / shape I felt they didn’t have the same kind of texture / premium feel as others have had. Although the pricing does reflect some of these changes. When the case is closed I do feel the case is durable and if dropped the magnet is strong enough to remain closed and protect your earbuds. They come with customisable rubber buds to make sure they fit perfectly into your ear. Once in, they fit extremely well and no amount of head shaking or running knock them out. They are comfortable and snug. They connect extremely quickly to my iPhone and iPad and when answering calls it’s a seamless process from music to call. They offer 3 options of noise cancelling, quiet, aware and off. This isn’t as many or as customisable as other Bose earbud options but these are still very good options. The noise cancelling is truly fantastic that you wouldn’t get from any other brand except Bose. They kept out all train commuter noises. They also managed to keep out all hospital beeping and bustling around. When the app is downloaded you have the option of adding extra bass etc if you feel the sound is a little flat. Overall for the price these are a fantastic pair of Bose earbuds. Undoubtedly Bose do offer more premium versions of these but these offer comfort in ear, secure fit, great sound and superb noise reduction.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ANC & love the dedicated app! I’ve had these earphones now for a couple of weeks and these are my pros and cons … PROS * Great music sound as always with Bose * Extremely fast pairing to iPhone (even without app) * Dedicated app has lots of features and settings you can edit like sounds levels with bass reduction etc. * Brilliant noise cancellation — in my opinion, even better than the more expensive QCII and QC Ultra earbuds! *Aware mode good for disabled users like me who want to block out background sound while still being able to hear conversation — also good for anyone when at the cashier in a shop, crossing the road, nighttime safety, etc. I wore them whilst at the restaurant the other night to drown out background noise and still had an easy conversation with my friends, preventing me from getting overstimulated and overwhelmed by the noisy setting ♥️. * Clear speech when taking video on busy road (in picture) * Fit into ear snugly with three size options for ear piece (I use the smallest one) CONS * Wind noise very loud — a little hard to hear music at usual volume and phone calls very difficult with the wind too * Build quality not as good as QCII earbuds, especially considering price is still high. Same with the charging case * Sometimes you take the buds out the case and they just don’t turn on. Fixed fairly easily by putting back in and jiggling until you see the green light * Not as comfortable as QCII earbuds for long-term wear such as on a long journey * Stick more out of the ears than QCII earbuds so not comfortable if you are leaning on something (cushion, pillow, etc.) Overall I think these earbuds are fantastic. If you have the money I would recommend the QCIIs — but if you want to spend a little less these earbuds are almost just as good for sure!! And like I said, I think that the ANC is actually better. The dedicated QCE app is also a real bonus with all the extra features and it’s so easy to use. These earbuds are also much better than similar priced buds on the market from other popular fruit & other brands in my opinion! Honestly Bose are a firm favourite for me as they continue to deliver with each release, and for the price point I think they have basically got these spot on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bose QC Earbuds for Everyday use These are a great set of earbuds for everyday use, be it out and about, commute to work, exercise or travel. First impressions: - Sleek design with different sized tips to fit ears. The out of box ones fitted me perfectly and are comfortable to wear. - The charging case is a decent size but a weird shape. I normally would carry earbuds in my jeans... they are perhaps a bit bulky for that but perfect for portability in jacket or bag. - USB-C is good - means when travelling, existing chargers will do the job - Like orange charging light on front which switches to green when charged; and also classic Bose logo on top. - Nice sound with bass and clear instrumentals listening on Apple Music - the classic natural Bose sound I love where music and voices sounds unprocessed and real. Given it my go to Headphone test of Enya - Caribbean Blue and some other tracks eg piano, classical and rock which feels immersive. - I wasn't sure about the touch controls initially but have configured them to my liking via the QCE app and starting to get the hang of them --- can adjust volume, skip tracks, pause, answer/ end calls etc... all the usual commands you'd expect. - Used the earbuds a few times now during a gym workout paired with my Apple iPhone 15 pro Max and Watch Ultra 2. Impressed with sound quality and stability of earbuds whilst doing cardio workouts on treadmill and elliptical trainer. Blocked out noise of the machines and others nearby… was able to go fully Rocky montage in my own private bubble. Despite sweating, the earbuds stayed firmly in place during workout. Overall a great all rounder set of earbuds. Very pleased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bose QuietComfort Pros I find these earbuds to feel the lightest and most comfortable I've tried. The default ear fittings worked perfectly and created a nice seal, keeping outside noises out to the same degree as my over-ear headphones.  The noise canceling is phenomenal and the transparent mode truly is without muffling. I can comfortably wear them all day and take meetings, phone calls, and listen to music easily. Being a lot smaller means they fit perfectly into my ears and don’t protrude out. Cons - One thing to improve would be the case; it is a bit too light, and the top hinge snaps shut so fast I'm afraid I'll break it and it doesn't feel like a secure close. So I try to carry them less often in my bag and leave them at my work desk.  - No instructions when initially using the product which was a disappointment. - Lid on case an unsteady and feel like if moved the wrong way it would break. - Disappointed the app was not ready once I received the earbuds however the app is great an easy to use making life a lot easier with setting of touch controls. - the app keeps restarting for me, even when I close it by swiping on the iPhone. This keeps happening until I put the headphones back in the case. - The German voice sounds strange. - Despite customization, the headphones don't come close to my Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. Finally, having an additional app is a bit much. I would prefer an app from which I can control and configure everything (Bose app).
