ADAPTiQ system setup and deactivation

Find out how to turn on or turn off ADAPTiQ audio calibration. ADAPTiQ optimizes the sound of your system for the acoustics of your room. The contents of your room (i.e. surfaces, furniture, rugs, etc.) impact how sound is heard in the room. The calibration process measures the properties of your room and adjusts the sound of your system accordingly. If you re-arrange your room or move your system to a different room, re-calibrate your system.

To run the ADAPTiQ audio calibration system:

Before you begin, be sure the speakers are connected placed where you want them.
  1. On the system console, insert disc 1 of the ADAPTiQ audio calibration kit
  2. On the remote control, press the CD-DVD button
  3. When prompted, remove disc 1 and insert disc 2. (Tip: If the on-screen instructions do no appear on your TV, be sure the correct TV input is selected)
  4. When prompted, connect the ADAPTiQ headset to the Audio IN jacks in the AUX section on the back of the system console. (If a device is connected to AUX, disconnect it until calibration is complete)
  5. Put the ADAPTiQ headset on your head. (Tip: Be sure the L and R letters on the headset are above your left and right ears)
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete calibration

To turn off the ADAPTiQ audio calibration:

Note: This process erases the current ADAPTiQ audio calibration settings. To enable ADAPTiQ after, insert the audio calibration disc included with your system.
  1. On the remote control, press the System button. (If the system menu does not appear on your TV, be sure the correct TV input is selected)
  2. Scroll right to Audio
  3. Scroll down to ADAPTiQ
  4. Scroll right and then up or down to select Erase
