ADAPTiQ system setup and deactivation

Find out how to turn on or turn off ADAPTiQ audio calibration. ADAPTiQ optimizes the sound of your system for the acoustics of your room. The contents of your room (i.e. surfaces, furniture, rugs, etc.) impact how sound is heard in the room. The calibration process measures the properties of your room and adjusts the sound of your system accordingly. If you re-arrange your room or move your system to a different room, re-calibrate your system.

To run the ADAPTiQ audio calibration system:

Before you begin, be sure the speakers are connected placed where you want them.
  1. Connect the ADAPTiQ headset to the AUX jacks on the back of the system console. (If a device is connected to AUX, disconnect it until calibration is complete)
  2. On the remote control, press the System button. (Tip: If the system menu does not appear on your TV, be sure the correct TV input is selected)
  3. Scroll right to select the Setup icon
  4. Scroll down to select ADAPTiQ
  5. Scroll right to view the ADAPTiQ options
  6. Scroll down to select Run, then press the Enter button
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate your system
  8. Once complete, disconnect the headset

To turn off the ADAPTiQ audio calibration:

  1. On the remote control, press the System button. (If the system menu does not appear on your TV, be sure the correct TV input is selected)
  2. Scroll right to select Setup
  3. Scroll down to select ADAPTiQ
  4. Scroll right to view the ADAPTiQ options
  5. Scroll up or down to select Erase, then press the Enter button
  6. When prompted, press Enter to confirm
