Connecting to a mixer
A mixer can be connected to your Bose speakers. This offers the added connectivity and/or audio processing options available on the mixer.
The line out connection is directly after the trim and before anything else.
If something is connected to the insert, it will not effect anything connected to the line out.
To connect an L1 system to a mixing board, follow these steps:
If the instruments are connected to the mixing board first
- Connect each instrument to the mixing board
- Set each channel's input trim and level to the desired level
- Connect the "Main Outputs" of the mixing board to the "Input" of channel 1 and 2 on the L1 system
- Set each channel's preset to "00"
- Connect the instruments to the L1 system as normal. For information on connecting instruments to an L1 system, see Setting up your product
- Connect the male end of an XLR cable to the "Line Out" of the channels that are being sent to the mixing board. Only channels 1 and 2 have this output. Anything connected to channels 3 and 4 cannot be sent to the mixing board
- Connect the outputs of the L1 system into the "Line In" inputs on the mixing board
- Set the input trim and level of each channel on the mixing to the desired level
