If the Ethernet cable (that was connected to the amplfier) is on the same network as your device running the SoundTouch app, you can reconnect it to the amplifier after it appears in the app.
Putting a system into Setup mode
Entering Setup mode lets you connect a device to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the Bose system. This is useful for system set up and diagnostics.
To enter Setup mode:
- If an Ethernet cable is connected to the back of the SoundTouch amplifier, disconnect it.
- On the top of the amplifier, press-and-hold the Control button for about 3 seconds until the Wi-Fi status indicator light glows amber.
Note: Holding the Control button for 8 to 10 seconds will disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality; So, if the light does not glow amber within a few seconds, release the button and try again.
