Updating the software or firmware of your product
Software and firmware updates improve product features and stability. Install any available updates to keep your product working at its best.
To update the ToneMatch audio engine:
- Connect the ToneMatch mixer to power
Tip: A power supply can be used for T1, T4S or T8S. Alternatively, an L1 model 1S or model II power stand can be used for power T1 or T4S - Connect a USB cable from your computer to the USB jack on the back of the mixer
- Power on the mixer
- Visit the Downloads page and download the appropriate upate files to your computer:
- Under ToneMatch mixer firmware, select your mixer to download the update file
- Under L1/ToneMatch updater application, download the applicable Mac or PC app
- Open the updater application download to Install the L1 updater app on your computer
Tip: Windows computers might alert you that the app is unrecognized. If prompted, choose to run the app - Open the L1 updater app and follow the instructions to update your mixer.
To update your L1 model II:
Before you begin
- A Bose T1 ToneMatch audio engine is required to update the L1 model II system
- To use a Bose B2 bass module, your L1 model II firmware must be version 1.4 or newer and the EQ version must be 1.04 or newer
Updating your system
- On the back of the T1, connect a USB cable from the USB jack to a computer
- Use a ToneMatch cable to connect the T1 to the ToneMatch port on the L1 model II power stand
- On the computer, download and install the L1 updater app
- Open the updater app and follow the instructions to complete the update
