Poor, low or no sound from your speaker

If you're experiencing poor, low, or no sound from your speaker, try the following:

Be sure your product is within 33 feet (10 meters) of the Bluetooth device.

This range can be reduced by obstacles (e.g. walls, doors, appliances, other wireless devices, etc.). Try moving the device and product closer together.

Check the EQ settings of your product.

Make sure it’s not set in a way that unbalances the bass, midrange, or treble. For more details, see Adjusting the Tone Controls on Your Product.

Try different media, apps, or devices.

Play audio from a different app, media source, or personal device (such as a phone, tablet, or computer) to determine if the issue is related to a specific source. If the issue is with a particular source or device, check its settings.

Reset your product.

Much like rebooting a smartphone, your product might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues. For more info, see Resetting your product.

Reboot your personal device.

Restart your device (smartphone, tablet, or computer) by turning it off for 30 seconds and then turning it back on to fix any temporary Bluetooth or audio issues.

Check for and install any available product updates.

Regardless of the issue you are experiencing with your product, try updating it. Visit btu.Bose.com and follow the instructions to ensure your product has the latest features and enhancements.

Restore the factory settings of your speaker.

If the speaker is powered on or becomes unresponsive, you can perform a Factory Reset.
Factory reset clears connected devices and language settings from the speaker and returns it to the original factory settings(including Equaliser and Custom Shortcut).
  1. Press and hold the Volume up button + and Volume down button - for 15 seconds until the Power light quickly blinks white for 3 seconds
    Factory Reset
    The speaker powers off.
  2. Press the Power button .
The Power light glows according to the battery level. The Bluetooth light slowly blinks blue, and you hear “Ready to connect.”
