In Defence of QC35Every review of Bose QuietComfort 35 I've seen complains about the earmuffs flaking after one year. Mine are doing that too (after a year and a half) but I've never had a pair of headphones that even lasted a year until now so I'm impressed enough by that.
Also in Bose's defence, they only started to properly fall apart in the heatwave that hit the UK the other week. Before that they were only starting to peel. They're worth buying replacement muffs for if I can get another half year out of them at least.
The only hindrance is that the cushions took over two hours to put on and are painful to apply without a screwdriver or fingernails. Other than that, worth it if the headphones last at least another year.

In less than one year, I had to purchase two pairs of pads for my black Q 35II
I have to order the third pairs of pads.
Similer problem with my brother pair.
Firstly, get very smelly.
Second, they get very sweaty.
I’m not saying the headphones are not comfortable, I very much like them.
