Couldn't BOSE produce better earpads?I have my Bose for almost a year now...the earpads are flaking and falling apart. For the price the headphones, I expected a product with better quality of earpads. I was thinking about buying a second set for the office, but I'm afraid it will not be BOSE.

Short usageI bought my headphones 18months ago & was excited to use them. The sound quality did not disappoint me, the Bose name appeared to shine through. Approximately 11months of use, I notice flaking of the soft viynl covering over the sponge ear pads. This was slowly at first, but about 13months in, the flaking got a lot worse, to the point that about half of the covering had dropped off, & even the sponge beneath, also started to fall off. At this stage they became unwearable, & I put them away & went back to using a much cheaper & inferior pair which I had bought some 3 year's prior, but which ear pads, wear still fully in tact. I must say that for the large price I paid for my Bose headphones, & their perceived superior quality, the use of what appears as cheap material for the ear pads, very much strikes a black Mark against them. I would have expected the item's in question, to be a lot better. Sorry Bose, but you get a 2/10 for quality.
