Progressive scan is a video format that displays all lines of the picture frame in a single pass, and refreshes the image 60 times per second. This format is not compatible with all video displays.

Changing the progressive scan video settings

The progressive scan setting is only available when there is a component cable connecting the media centre to the TV. If there is a component cable connecting the media centre to the TV, follow these steps using the onscreen menu:

Turn the system on.

Make sure the TV is on with the correct input selected.

On the remote, press the SYSTEM button.

Press the RIGHT arrow to highlight the "video" icon at the top of the system menu.

Use the DOWN arrow to highlight the "progressive scan" option.

Press the RIGHT arrow once. Then press either the UP arrow or DOWN arrow to select "ON" or "OFF," press ENTER.

Press EXIT to leave menu.

Note: the system does not support PAL progressive video.
