Low audio from product

If the volume level heard from your product is faint or quieter than normal, try the following:

Determine if the system is running at its maximum output

When you are running your L1® at maximum output and introduce an additional source or signal, the limiter may kick in to prevent distortion and prevent damage. As a result, the level of the entire system is reduced. This is normal operation.

If this happens often, consider reducing the volume or moving to a larger L1 system.

Determine if the problem is specifically related to bass performance.

If there is too little bass, see Too little bass or too much treble from product.
If there is too much bass, see Too much bass or too little treble from product.

Be sure the system is set up properly and all connections are secure.

A connection may have come loose or may be connected incorrectly. For more info, see Setting up your product.

Turn up the volume of the connected device.

Set the device volume to 90–100% to send a strong signal to your product. Then, use your product to adjust the volume level.

Check the source volume level.

The source volume may be set too low or it may be muted. If it has a power switch or volume control, be sure it is on and set to the desired level.

Check the bass and treble controls for your product.

Be sure the bass and treble adjustments are not set too high or too low for your preferences. For more info, see Adjusting the tone controls on your product.

Reset your product.

Much like rebooting a smartphone, your product might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues. For more info, see Resetting your product.

Plug in a different audio source.

Connected a different audio source to determine if the issue is related to the source: If audio is being sent to your system from a a microphone, try a different microphone; if an instrument is connected, try a different instrument.

Try a different output on the mixer or audio source.

If the audio source has more than one output (i.e. a mixer with main and aux outputs), connect to another output with the same cables to determine if the output is the issue.

Replace the input cables.

Try different input cables using the same source and same channel. If this solves the problem, the original cables may be defective.

Try a different powered speaker or sound system.

If available, connect a to different powered speaker to determine if the issue is related to the audio source or connecting cables.
