Cannot skip forward or backward when playing a music service

Related error codes: 1018, 1616, 3511
Music services often have a skip limit that restricts the number or tracks you can skip. If a music service shows a message that your skip limit has been reached, you have reached the maximum allowed number of skipped songs. If this message appears unexpectedly, try the following:

Some music services limit the amount of tracks that can be skipped in a period of time.

Deezer

  • Unlimited skips with albums
  • Maximum of 150 skips per hour per station with Deezer Premium

Spotify

  • Unlimited skips with albums
  • Unlimited skips with stations
  • 15 skips with podcasts

Pandora

Note: Pandora Plus is not available to 3rd parties, like Bose. While you can link your Pandora Plus account to your Bose account, skip limits will apply when accessing Pandora content from your Bose speaker.
  • Maximum of 24 skips per day
  • Maximum of 6 skips per hour with stations

iHeartRadio

  • Maximum of 15 skips per day
  • Maximum of 6 skips per hour with stations
