Nothing appears on the product display

If your system works but there is no display or it does not light up and appears blank, try the following:

Verify if the issue is with the display or the power to the system.

Try playing an audio CD or the AM/FM radio source. If there is no sound, there may be a power problem. See Product will not turn on.

Try new batteries in the remote.

In case the battery or batteries in your remote are low or have no power, replace them. Alkaline batteries are recommended over rechargeable batteries, which might output lower voltage. (Note: Battery testers are not always reliable since they might detect power but not indicate if there is adequate power for the remote.)

Adjust the display brightness.

Adjusting the brightness or contrast setting should make the display easier to read. For information on adjusting the display, see Adjusting the display brightness.

Reset your media center.

A reset is used to correct occasional product issues. It is not something that a product should require repeatedly. For more information, see Resetting your product.

Remove and reseat the display panel cable from the media console.

The display panel cable may not be connected properly to its input jack on the media console. Disconnect and firmly reseat the connector.

If your media center power supply has a voltage switch, be sure the correct voltage is selected.

On the bottom of a dual voltage power supply, there is a 230V/115V switch. If your power supply has this switch, disconnect it from the power outlet, set the switch to the voltage used in your region, then reconnect power.
