The Virtually Invisible family of speakers delivers superior all-around performance relative to most competitors in their price and size class. Compared to typical in-ceiling speakers and in-wall speakers, Virtually Invisible speakers produce more spacious sound and play lower notes. They also avoid hot spots common to many other overhead speakers.

The Virtually Invisible 791 speakers II feature a streamlined design that makes installation even easier through magnets in the baffle that allow the metal grilles to attach magnetically. The speaker also blends into a room more seamlessly with a nearly bezel-less industrial design.

Virtually Invisible speakers can be installed in wood frame construction covered with wallboard made of gypsum, plaster and lath, panelling or similar construction. They can be installed in ceilings containing malleable fibreglass batt insulation or blown-in cellulose insulation, but not rigid foam insulation or asbestos.

Yes. Virtually Invisible speakers use industry-standard installation techniques. If you’re comfortable cutting drywall and working with a screwdriver, you can install a speaker. The difficulty of running speaker wire varies greatly depending on the house.

Yes. You'll need a compatible receiver or amplifier and the appropriate gauge and length of speaker wire. You'll find this information in this product's owner's guide.

Ratings and Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb sounding speakers These replaced my 10 year old kef speakers around the same diameter that have always been very good obviously the speaker cables were already there fitting time around 15 minutes so easy to fit & all from down below didnt have to venture to the loft. The soundstage & quality of the bose in comparison with the kef is huge Before purchasing I read a report that they was a little bass light but they are superb More than enough bass for me personally Great buy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound but use an additional active sub Got a pair in the kitchen ceiling and they sound great, I mounted dynaboxes above them to help keep the sound in as the bedroom is above the kitchen. However I simply added a REL T Zero active sub to work with them (it uses speaker level inputs so was easy to run wires from the 791 down to the sub on the floor) I was hoping for more bass but beware each ceiling will have a bigger influence on bass etc, depending on what’s behind the speaker. I have a Speakercraft bathroom speaker (similar cost and same driver size to 791) and it produces exactly the same bass as the Bose speaker. I actually added badges to mine as although I love the fact these speakers blend in I do like a badge so Bose why not include self adhesive badges? Easy to install as well. Otherwise they are great ceiling speakers

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lack of bass and no way to add bass module They sound good. Clear. Which is great. But lack of bass. I would buy a bass module if there was a way to link it but there is not. Disappointed. Make a software upgrade so we can add a bass module linked with them in soundtouch and then its 5 stars. But until then its 2 stars, due to lack of bass.
